Commercial Performance System — Measure Commerce. Build Sustainability. Enable Growth.

Records

A Consistent Language for Real Commercial Activity.

CPS distinguishes between information submitted by businesses and activity captured through participating commercial systems.

CPS Report

A structured snapshot of commercial performance during a defined reporting period. May include sales, customer acquisition, order fulfillment, repeat purchases, transaction values, and settlement activity.

CPS Record

An accumulated history of relevant commercial activity and reporting periods.

Evidence Classification

  • Self-Reported

Information submitted by a business without independent transaction-level verification.

  • Externally Supported

Information accompanied by third-party documents or other supporting material, with clearly stated verification limitations.

  • CPS-Verified

Activity captured through participating commercial channels and meeting defined traceability and verification requirements.

Verification must describe what was actually established. It must not imply that every aspect of a business or transaction has been independently audited.

Business-Model-Specific Measurement

CPS does not assume that every business should achieve the same number of transactions. A consumer retailer, enterprise software provider, and industrial supplier may have entirely different sales cycles, order values, and performance indicators. Measurement should reflect the underlying business model.
